Kings Canyon

The sheer walls of Kings Canyon rise 100 metres above the valley of Kings Creek and are particularly spectacular at sunrise and sunset.

Kings Canyon features ancient sandstone walls, sculptured by the elements, rising up 100m to a plateau of rocky domes. The canyon abounds in water holes and and a bewildering array of fauna and flora. There are over 600 different species of native plant.

It is easy to spend several days wandering around this vast area exploring its unique beauty.

Accessible all year round, the cooler months (April to September) are the most pleasant.

There are two walking tracks at the Canyon, both offering visitors an opportunity to escape the crowds and experience first hand the beauty and solitude of the Australian bush.
